FAQ- most common questions textile collars

  • Can a dog see while wearing the collar?

Side vision is partially restricted, which helps provide more effective protection of the surgical or treatment area. At the same time, the collar’s opaque surface eliminates the issue of distorted images that can occur with semi-transparent plastic collars and may cause stress for the animal.

  • Does the collar affect a dog's hearing?

No. The fabric construction of the collar does not impair hearing and does not create the resonance or echo effect that is often associated with traditional plastic recovery collars.

  • How is a fabric collar different from a plastic collar?

A fabric collar is significantly more comfortable for the animal. It does not make noise, does not create a resonance effect, does not bump into furniture or walls, and does not damage household furnishings or the interior of a car.

  • How many sizes is the collar available in?

The fabric postoperative collar is available in two versions:

    Standard version:
9 sizes in blue and camouflage colors.

    Brachycephalic breed version:
    3 sizes in grey.

  • Is a collar required to use the recovery collar?

Yes. A standard pet collar is required for proper use of the recovery collar. The collar should be threaded through the loops located inside the recovery collar. The pet collar stabilizes the recovery collar and keeps it securely in the correct position.

  • Is the collar comfortable for the owner to use?

  • What is a recovery collar used for?

A recovery collar is used to protect surgical sites, wounds, bandages, and skin conditions from being licked, bitten, or scratched by the animal. This helps reduce the risk of complications and supports the proper healing process.

  • Where is the Grande Finale collar manufactured?

Grande Finale collars are designed and manufactured in Poland in collaboration with practicing veterinarians. The product design is protected by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as a Registered Community Design (RCD No. 001980392-0001).

  • Which animals is the collar designed for?

The Grande Finale fabric recovery collar is designed for dogs, cats, and rabbits. A wide range of sizes allows the product to be matched to the animal’s size and the area of the body that requires protection.

  • Why was a version created for brachycephalic breeds?

Brachycephalic breeds, such as bulldogs and pugs, have shorter muzzles and a different head structure. The specialized design of the collar allows it to fit the anatomy of these breeds more effectively, providing better comfort and protection.
