New Years Eve
New Year's Eve
New Year's Eve (especially loud fireworks) is very stressful for most dogs. While it may be great fun for humans, it's a difficult and challenging time for animals.
Here are some tips to help your dog during New Year's Eve:
🔸 Create a quiet and calm space where your pet can hide, especially during fireworks.
🔸 Avoid walks between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
🔸 Attach an ID tag to your dog's collar or harness (in case your dog gets scared and runs away, it will help you find them faster).
🔸 Use calming medication (after consulting with a veterinarian).
🔸 Provide a Kong toy, lick mat, or chew toy to help soothe your dog.
🔸 Walk your dog only on a leash (this minimizes the risk of escape if they get scared).
And most importantly:
Do not leave your pet alone on this terrifying night!
