Oxygen bag
Oxygen bags
Oxygen bags are a practical solution that enables oxygen therapy to be carried out safely, quickly, and in a mobile way. They are especially valued in veterinary emergency care, patient transport, and field work by veterinarians and breeders.
Key features:
-
ability to create an environment with increased oxygen concentration,
-
rapid initiation of therapy without the need for a mask,
-
reduction of patient stress,
-
lightweight, durable, and easy-to-disinfect construction,
-
use in transport, hospitalization, and intensive care.
Oxygen bags are an excellent addition to clinic equipment and emergency kits, increasing patient safety in situations requiring immediate respiratory support.
Veterinary oxygen bag – functionality, safety, and full control of therapy
Comments: 0Grande Finale veterinary oxygen bag – functionality, safety, and full control of therapy
The Grande Finale oxygen bag has been designed for effective, safe, and comfortable oxygen therapy for veterinary patients — both in clinical and field conditions. Every element of its construction addresses the real needs of veterinarians and breeders working with animals requiring respiratory stabilization.
Key design features:
• Two transparent walls
Transparent panels allow continuous observation of the patient without opening the bag, minimizing oxygen loss and reducing animal stress.• Front double-slider zipper
The dual-zipper system enables quick and convenient access to the patient from one side without fully opening the bag.• Two oxygen connection ports
The bag is equipped with two openings for oxygen tubing using adapters. One adapter is included in the set, allowing immediate therapy initiation.• Adjustable Velcro ventilation flap
A side flap allows controlled ventilation of the interior, for example in case of increased humidity. Adjustable opening size enables precise airflow regulation.• Side technical zipper for cables
An additional zipper allows monitoring cables (e.g. ECG, pulse oximeter) to be passed through without compromising the oxygen environment. It also allows a hand to be inserted for quick checks without fully opening the bag.• Bottom pocket – space for a heating mat
The floor of the bag includes a practical pocket for an electric heating mat. Built-in insulating foam protects the patient from heat loss from below, which is crucial in emergency and hypothermic patients.• Top carrying handle
A sturdy handle ensures safe and comfortable transport of the patient, especially during emergencies and transfers.• Foldable design
The bag folds flat for easy storage and space optimization in clinics or veterinary ambulances.Manufacturer recommendation
For optimal thermal conditions, it is recommended to use the oxygen bag in combination with the Grande Finale thermal mat. This solution supports patient temperature stabilization, increasing therapy effectiveness and hospitalization safety.
Using instruction- oxygen bag
The oxygen bag is designed for passive oxygen therapy in animals in clinical, outpatient, and field conditions. The product enables the creation of an environment with an increased oxygen concentration while allowing patient monitoring and control.
The product is intended for veterinarians and qualified users. It may be used by breeders only in accordance with veterinary recommendations.
2. Structural Components
The bag is equipped with:
-
two transparent walls allowing patient observation,
-
front double-slider zipper,
-
two oxygen connection ports for tubing,
-
one oxygen system adapter (included),
-
side adjustable Velcro ventilation flap,
-
side technical zipper for passing cables (e.g. ECG),
-
bottom pocket for a heating mat with an insulating foam layer,
-
top carrying handle,
-
foldable flat design for easy storage.
3. Preparation for Use
-
Unfold the bag on a stable, flat surface.
-
If needed, place an electric heating mat in the bottom pocket (use of a Grande Finale thermal mat is recommended).
-
Ensure all zippers are functioning and properly closed.
-
Connect the oxygen tubing to one of the ports using the included adapter.
-
Check tubing patency and proper connection to the oxygen source.
4. Placing the Patient
-
Open the front zipper.
-
Gently place the patient inside the bag.
-
Close the bag, leaving only necessary openings for monitoring cables if required.
-
Start oxygen flow according to clinical recommendations.
5. Therapy Monitoring
-
Observe the patient through transparent walls.
-
Monitor vital parameters (respiration, heart rate, SpO₂, ECG if needed).
-
If humidity increases inside the bag, use the side ventilation flap and adjust airflow.
-
For quick access, partially unzip or insert a hand through the side technical opening if necessary.
6. Ventilation and Humidity Control
In case of condensation or increased humidity:
-
gently open the adjustable ventilation flap,
-
adjust the opening size as needed,
-
avoid sudden full opening to prevent a rapid drop in oxygen concentration.
7. Safety Rules
-
Use only under the supervision of a qualified person.
-
Do not leave the patient unattended.
-
Do not use near open flames or ignition sources (high oxygen concentration increases fire risk).
-
Monitor patient temperature when using heating mats.
-
Do not exceed oxygen flow rates recommended by a veterinarian.
8. Cleaning and Disinfection
After use:
-
disconnect the oxygen source,
-
empty and fully unzip the bag,
-
clean surfaces with a medical-grade disinfectant,
-
allow to dry completely before folding,
-
store folded flat in a dry place.
9. Storage
The bag can be folded flat for convenient storage in a clinic, emergency kit, or field vehicle. Store in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
