Stabilizator
Construction and Materials
The stabilizers are made from durable technical fabric and filled with a specialized material that:
-
is radiolucent and does not create artefacts on X-ray images,
-
can be moulded into virtually any shape,
-
provides stable support for selected areas of the patient's body.
They can be used as standalone stabilization aids or as complementary components of a complete patient positioning system.
Thermoregulation Support
The stabilizers can be:
-
heated (after verifying the appropriate microwave settings),
-
cooled, depending on clinical requirements.
This allows them to support patient thermoregulation during surgical procedures, which is particularly important for animals under general anaesthesia and for species that are highly susceptible to hypothermia, such as rabbits and other lagomorphs.
