Product purpose
The Grande Finale postoperative collar is designed to protect animals after surgical procedures and during the treatment of wounds, skin injuries, or dermatological conditions.
Its purpose is to prevent licking, biting, or scratching of the operated area, dressings, and surgical sutures.
The collar is intended for dogs and cats.
Collar design
The collar has the form of a soft protective cushion made of durable textile materials.
Inside the collar there are loops through which the animal’s collar should be threaded to securely fasten the postoperative collar.
Putting on the collar
-
Prepare the collar in the appropriate size.
-
Thread the animal’s collar through the internal loops inside the postoperative collar.
-
Put the collar on the animal’s neck and fasten it as usual.
-
If necessary, adjust the position of the collar within the loops to match the length of the animal’s neck.
The collar should be securely fitted but must not put pressure on the animal’s neck.
Proper fit
A properly fitted collar should:
-
restrict the animal’s access to the surgical site or wound
-
not obstruct breathing
-
not cause neck pressure
-
allow normal movement of the animal
The Grande Finale collar does not restrict the animal’s field of vision or hearing.
Comfort of use
The soft design of the collar:
-
does not create a “resonance box” effect like plastic collars
-
does not bump into furniture or walls
-
does not damage home furnishings or car interiors
-
is safe for the owner during contact with the animal
Monitoring during use
While the collar is being worn, regularly check:
-
whether the collar is properly secured
-
whether it does not cause abrasions or skin irritation
-
whether the animal cannot access the protected area
If in doubt, consult a veterinarian.
Cleaning and maintenance
The collar can be cleaned by hand or machine washed at up to 40°C.
After washing, allow it to air dry naturally.
Do not use bleach or harsh chemical agents.
