Using instruction- veterinary muzzle

The Grande Finale veterinary muzzle is intended for short-term restraint of a dog’s snout during examinations, veterinary procedures, and other situations requiring increased control over the animal.

Due to its design, this muzzle is not intended for walks or prolonged use. It limits the dog’s ability to fully open its mouth and should therefore only be used for the time necessary to perform a specific procedure.

1. Choosing the Correct Size

The muzzle is available in several sizes designed for mesocephalic dogs.

  • Each size has a permanently assigned color, allowing quick identification of the appropriate variant.

  • In a veterinary clinic, this enables efficient work without the need to check size markings.

A properly fitted muzzle should fit securely and stably around the dog’s snout.

2. Fitting the Muzzle

  • Hold the dog calmly and securely.

  • Place the muzzle over the dog’s snout, enclosing the jaw.

  • Adjust the straps so that the muzzle fits snugly and prevents the dog from opening its mouth.

  • Make sure the muzzle does not shift and remains stable during use.

The product’s design allows for very quick and efficient application, which is crucial in stressful situations.

3. Intended Use

The veterinary muzzle is intended for use only in situations such as:

  • veterinary examinations

  • medical treatments and procedures

  • administering medication

  • situations requiring short-term restraint of the dog

It should not be used during walks or physical activity.

4. Safety Guidelines

  • Use the muzzle only for short periods and under supervision.

  • Do not leave the dog unattended while wearing the muzzle.

  • Do not use the muzzle in high temperatures or during physical exertion.

  • If the dog shows signs of discomfort or breathing difficulties, remove the muzzle immediately.

The veterinary muzzle is intended solely as an auxiliary restraint tool and should only be used as intended.

5. Cleaning and Disinfection

  • The muzzle may be cleaned with a damp cloth if dirty.

  • The product is resistant to veterinary disinfectants, allowing safe use in veterinary clinics.

  • After cleaning or disinfection, allow the muzzle to dry at room temperature.
